Healthy exercise, enjoying our beautiful trails, and raising funds for after-school and enrichment programming for Bethel area youth are all goals of the upcoming Bethel Rotary 5K run/walk and one-mile run for youth. There is still time to register for this fun event, which is scheduled for Sunday morning, Sept. 18, with the start and finish at the Mahoosuc Land Trust’s Valentine Farm & Conservation Center at 162 North Rd., Bethel.

It is easy to register online at www.runreg.com/bethel-rotary-5K and the first 100 registrants receive a functional, commemorative fanny pack that you can enjoy using for years to come. Pre-registration for the 5K run/walk is $15 and registration that day is $20. All participants 18 and under are free! Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., the one mile starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9 a.m. Refreshments will be available and awards will happen immediately upon the finish of the 5K.
