NAPLES — A 2-year-old male was killed Saturday after being struck by a pickup truck at a residence on Lambs Mill Road.
The father of the child was backing out of the driveway and could not see the child in its path, according to Shannon Moss, public information officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The child was taken to the Naples Fire Department by his parents where he was pronounced dead by Cumberland County deputies who responded to the station after life saving measures failed to revive him.
The names of all involved are being withheld pending notification of additional family members, Moss said.
