NORWAY — Second Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, 205 Main Street, Norway is excited to announce that its Thrift Shoppe is reopening on Saturday, September 24, from 8:30 a.m.-noon. Thanks to a generous Oxford Hills Community, the Thrift Shoppe will feature new, slightly used, and antique items. After almost selling out last month, items on September 24 will be new to shoppers. All items are clean, in good working order, and very reasonably priced.

The money raised by the Thrift Shoppe will be used to support the many missions of our community church, which include but are not limited to:  the free drive-thru supper, online and in-person worship service, Sunday school, Bible study, knitting, and book groups. In addition to Thrift Shop, there will be a sale of new and rarely used Longaberger pottery. Some baskets will also be available. Most of these items came from Karen Ellis’ private collection and the sales will benefit the Mable Brown Scholarship fund.
