100 Years Ago: 1922

Monday night will be the “Get Acquainted” meeting of the Lewiston-Auburn Business and Professional Women’s Club. It will be a supper meeting and Mrs. Hazel Libby will be the guest speaker to the club members. Mrs. Libby is a dress designer of New York and if the club is sufficiently interested will form a class for the fall months as she is to be in Lewiston-Auburn for a time. Those desiring to attend the supper are asked to notify the YWCA by Monday forenoon.

50 Years Ago: 1972

Members of the Lewiston High School Key Club and the  Auburn-Lewiston Kiwanis Club will meet on the softball diamond at 1 p.m. Sunday as an opening feature of Key Club. The Kiwanis Club sponsors the Key Clubs in the local high schools.

Lewiston mayor Robert W. Clifford, who has been president of Kiwanis, is heading the senior club team, and Pete Dussault is in charge of the Key Clubbers.

The game is part of the week’s features which are designed to foster better working relations between the Kiwanis sponsored Key Clubbers and the general public and to also cement relations between the senior and junior groups.

25 Years Ago: 1997
