Laurie Ann (Cummings) Enos Martel

LIVERMORE – Laurie Ann (Cummings) Enos Martel, 56, of Livermore, passed on to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at her home in Livermore, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Sept. 14, 1966, in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of David L. and Phyllis B. (Green) Cummings.

Laurie was a graduate of East Long Meadow High School in East Long Meadow, Mass. After High School she attended Valley Forge Christian College and majored in Music. On Feb. 2, 1991, at the First United Pentecostal church in Lewiston, Maine, she married Carlton Edward Enos, Jr. They were married for 27 years before his passing in 2018. On Oct. 19, 2019, at the First United Pentecostal Church in Livermore Falls, she married Chet Martel.

She worked over the years in childcare and held a special place in her heart for all her “kiddos”. She most recently had the joy of having her own childcare at her home. Laurie was a talented piano player and played any chance she could. She was a member of First Church in Livermore Falls where she held many positions over the years as a Sunday School Teacher and a pianist.

She is survived by her husband Chet Martel of Livermore; her children, Carlton John Enos of Turner, Timothy Enos of Turner, and Sarah Smith and her husband Mark of Livermore, a “daughter” whom she adopted in her heart, Kayla Emerson, of Jay; her grandchildren, Brantley Enos and Abigail Smith; her brother James Cummings and his wife Jamie of Rumford, her sisters-in-law, Barbara Bell and her husband Ronald of Turner, Beverly Townsend and her husband Doug of E. Dixfield, and Janet Enos of Turner; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and her husband Ed Enos.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at the First United Pentecostal Church of Livermore Falls, 11 Union Street, Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m – 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Interment at Turner Village Cemetery, Church Street, Turner, Maine.
