MINOT — Town officials announce Town Clerk Sara Farris has recently become a certified clerk of Maine through the Maine Town & City Clerks’ Association. The process includes attending training and successfully passing certification testing within five years.
The certification serves as formal recognition of Farris’ commitment and dedication to Minot and its residents. She was hired as deputy clerk in 2014 and promoted to clerk in 2016. She has worked hard to ensure that the town remains in compliance with standards and has sought to improve the delivery of services to those using the Town Office, including rolling out online renewal services for vehicles and dogs as well as tax payments.
Farris is a resident of the town, providing her with an understanding of the needs and interests within the community, earning the informal title as the “go-to” person when people have questions or concerns.
