Darcie Lynn (Olsen) Pollis

BOSTON, Mass. – Darcie Lynn (Olsen) Pollis, 59, a resident of Chesterville, our Mum, the best Gramma, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass., following a cardiac event.

She was born Dec. 12, 1962, in Rumford, the daughter of Robert Olsen and Angela (DiPompo) Olsen. She was a 1981 graduate of Jay High School.

Darcie was special in her selfless need to take care of everyone, making sure they felt loved, fed, and comforted. If you ever had the pleasure of eating her macaroni and cheese, baked beans, brownies, or fudge, you know what heaven tastes like.

Her three daughters were, by far, her crowning achievement only taking a backseat to her four beautiful grand babies who were literally the light of her life.

She is survived and will forever be missed by her daughter, Desarae Blanchard, husband, Jon and their son, Beau of Minot; daughter, Lindsey Milligan, husband, Andrew and their children Landon, Ryder, and Elena of Rumford; and daughter, Alissa Pollis along with partner, Kyle, of Rangeley; brothers Rick Olsen and partner, Julie Jacques, of Livermore Falls, Rob Olsen and wife, Laureen, of Embden, sister, Tracie Goriss, of Gorham; several aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews; and cousins; many lifelong friends; and father of her children, Keith Pollis.

She was predeceased by both of her parents, her stepfather, Arthur Holman, mother-in-law, Donna Pollis; sister-in-law, Julie Marsters, and brother-in-law, George Goriss.
