To the Editor:
As one of Oxford County’s commissioners, I have appreciated the great work Lisa Keim has done while in the Maine State Senate. Lisa’s senate district is massive, but that hasn’t stopped her from giving the time and attention needed to hear the concerns of her constituents. Her Facebook page recently pointed out that she has driven more than 3,500 miles, all within her district.
Every mile driven demonstrated Lisa’s dedication to hard work, and her determination to get the job done for her constituents. Our county needs classy, professional ladies with this kind of work ethic. I hope you will consider supporting Lisa in her bid for re-election to our State Senate. Her tenacity as an advocate for our part of rural Maine is undeniable. Please join me in voting for Lisa on November 8.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
