Robert Wendal Richardson

AUBURN – Robert Wendal Richardson left this world with a renewed body, mind and soul for a better place on Oct. 3, 2022. Born in Bridgton, Maine on March 14, 1938, Bob was the second of three sons born to Ned and Leona (Kimball) Richardson.

He spent his childhood years in Bridgton and attended local schools there. His youthful spirit and strong family influence set the foundation for Bob’s adult life as a hard worker and devoted family man.

He married (Marie-Ann) Pauline LaRose in 1959 and together they raised their family in Mechanic Falls. Bob worked as a butcher for many years in numerous grocery stores. He later decided to sell real estate and was very proud of this accomplishment. Bob held various positions for the town of Mechanic Falls serving as councilman, tax assessor and school bus driver.

After retirement he became an avid collector. Some of his favorite collections were of antiques, books and coins. Before his health declined, he liked to yard sale for treasures he might find to add to those collections.

Bob was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

He reunites in Heaven with those dear to him: his parents, beloved wife Pauline, brother Henry, sister-in-law Leona and his longtime fur-ever friend Princess. Bob leaves in body but never far from heart daughters, Lynn (Richard) Levesque of Oxford, Patti Malcolm of Mechanic Falls, and Lisa (James) Rowe of Mechanic Falls; one brother, Fred (Rhonda) Richardson of Oxford; grandchildren, Colby Malcolm, Briana Levesque, Alyssa Levesque, Ben Rowe, Dylan Schnopp and Meghan (Taylor) Wood; great-grandchildren, Quinn Levesque and Rowan Wood; and longtime dear friend Judy Small who has been a blessing to the family for many years.

God bless to all that suffer or share in the suffering of this wretched disease. Dad is at peace now and we thank those that have supported us and cared for him.

A heartfelt thank you to those special individuals from Clover Manor and Androscoggin Home Health that cared for Dad over the past few months.

Funeral services will be held at Chandler Funeral Home, 26 West Dwinal Street, Mechanic Falls, on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. with a time of visitation prior to starting at 1 p.m., with interment to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls.
