HARRISON – Steven Fogg was everyone’s favorite guy- a proud father to three amazing girls, Londen, Aly and Aimee, the world’s best Papa to four-year-old twins, Briar and Finnick and the best brother, uncle and friend, died on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022 at the Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Steven William Fogg started his life in Harrison, terrorizing the town on 2 wheels, which would carry on into his days in the Army. He was in the forestry program in high school and after returning from four years serving in the 82nd Airborne in Fort Bragg, he came back home to Maine and Fogg Logging was born. When the woods wouldn’t let him log, he could be found out back at Dyer’s. Ultimately, his most successful endeavor was owning his own business.

He was known for buying too much food for every family gathering, he brought too much beer to deep sea fishing trips and if you asked for a little bit of firewood you got two cords. He spent most of the spring trudging through the woods collecting sap and most of the fall chopping wood in the back field. Every Monday was adventure day with his grandsons, every holiday was a reason to celebrate family and any day was a reason to sit around the table with Triscuits & Cheese and discuss anything and everything. He always kept the house at a mild 104 degrees, because *free wood*. Honorable mention: his dogs were his best buds, he made a full cup of coffee & cocoa, a little for him, a lot for Loko.

If you ever needed anything, you knew you could call on him and he would make it happen. He was kind, humble and hardworking. The ultimate advice giver, he single-handedly helped avert more crisis than one could count. He was a rock, a safe space and home to anyone who knew him. He might not remember your name, but he always had a memory of you.

Although his life was not nearly long enough, it was so very full. He made the most ordinary moments so special, like it was his super power. He could remember funny things from 15 years ago that you’d long forgotten and bring them up at the exact right moment. His dry wit and one-liners always perfectly filled the silence. His spirit can always be found when you hear a chainsaw, smell a bonfire or play Johnny Cash too loud on the living room TV.
