Charles “Chuck” A. Jobin

AUBURN – Charles “Chuck” A. Jobin passed away Friday Oct. 7, 2022 at The Androscoggin Hospice House. Formally a longtime resident of Rumford, and most recently residing at Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation in Canton.

Born April 13, 1954 in Rumford, the son of Ruth Fitzmaurice and Leonce Jobin Jr. Chuck graduated with the class of 1972 Rumford High School as a member of the basketball and football teams. He attended the University of Maine at Farmington. He worked many jobs including Northeast Construction Co. which gave him the opportunity to travel.

He always enjoyed fishing, and spending time with friends, especially at Worthley Pond. Chuck was a foodie, and enjoyed cooking, he could frequently be found mastering a grill at a celebration or party. He had a quick wit, and would never say no to a contest. He loved music on his favorite radio station and was a consistent winner of their daily trivia contests. He once won a Back Label contest for originality, with his photo gracing a bottle of Twisted Tea all in fun.

Being a true New England Patriots fan, he would often go to Foxborough, gathering up friends for a chauffeur Patriots bus trip. He loved his Pats! If Chuck was around, you were bound to laugh with his keen sense of humor. He loved life and so enjoyed the many friends he had. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include three brothers, Lee Jobin of Stowe, Vt., Peter Jobin of Killeen Texas, Chris Jobin and wife, Sally, of Goffstown, N.H., sister, Jennifer Libby and husband, David, of Rumford; also, many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., in Rumford.
