Nancy Jane LeBlanc

AUBURN – Nancy Jane LeBlanc passed away in Auburn on Oct. 7, 2022 at the age of 87.

She was born on Sept. 8, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Nevin and Mary (Wilson) Hartman, the youngest of four children. After moving to Wynnewood, Pa., near Philadelphia, Pa., she graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1953.

Nancy was the proud mother of six children and one stepdaughter. She had seven grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. She had a gift for drawing and painting and spent many hours making art with her grandchildren. Her employment included serving as the School Lunch Director for the City of Auburn. She enjoyed her travels and adventures with her devoted husband, Chanel. She belonged to the Marian Movement of Priests and was consecrated to Mary, praying the rosary daily. Nancy was a member of a 12 Step Program, helping many local women for 42 years.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Chanel LeBlanc of Auburn; her four daughters, Renee Cote (Peter Bornstein), Mary Jane Cote (Robbie Caouette), both of Auburn, Caroline Cote (Janet Cyr) of Lewiston, and Joanna Hayes of Tustin, Calif., her two sons, Gregory Cote (Jennifer) of Purling, N.Y. and Douglas Cote (Kimberly) of Whispering Pines, N.C., her stepdaughter, Michelle LeBlanc-Shields (Merle) of Fairfield; her grandchildren Chelsea Cote and Madeline Martel; Natalie Bornstein; Lydia Cline, Faith and Luc Cote; and Holly Hayes.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents; and brothers Charles and Robert and sister, Shirley.

A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn at 11 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 5. A time of gathering will be held immediately following the mass at Sacred Heart. Family and friends are invited.

The family wishes to thank the Androscoggin Hospice House for their wonderful care and support.
