BETHEL — Soup’s on and time to start gathering for a delicious lunch and friendly conversation. The first gathering will take place on Wednesday, October 19. Seniors (over 60) will be coming to the Methodist Church dining room for the monthly Soup’s On! which is held on the third Wednesday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This monthly soup luncheon takes place during the months of October, November, December, January, February, March and April. On the menu for lunch is a variety of 6 different soups to choose from along with bread, dessert and a beverage. Soup choices range from vegetable and meat based to unique family recipes.
Different Community members collaboratively supply all the homemade soups, bread and baked goods for this Senior event. New cooks and bakers are always welcome to participate. Folks looking for more information can call Bonnie Pooley at 207-381-7944 or email Linda Howe at [email protected].
This free, monthly event is to give Seniors an opportunity to eat a healthy lunch and a time to socialize with old friends and make new ones as well. The Methodist Church is located on Main Street which is next door to Brooks Brothers and the Holidae House. Soup will be on and all Seniors are always welcome.
