Debra M. Valley
JAY – Debra M. Valley, 64, a resident of Jay, passed away suddenly on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at her home. She was born on Feb. 8, 1958, in Milford, Connecticut, the daughter of James A. and Marjorie Ann (Griswold) Chipello. She was a graduate of Milford High School in Milford, Connecticut. On July 16, 1977, in Milford, Connecticut, she married the love of her life, Stephen Valley. Debra was an integral part of LaFleurs Restaurant in Jay for many years. She will be sorely missed by her co-workers and the people she served. She most enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Emma Grace, laughing and loving. Deb had the gift of hospitality, and joyously served in this capacity in several NCO Clubs and restaurants throughout the U.S., and Sicily. She took great pride in making a beautiful home for her family inside and out. Their home was always the centerpiece of their community. She lovingly supported Steve throughout his military career and displayed great patriotism and love of the military. She treasured her time with Steve in the quiet hours of each new day, enjoying coffee and conversation. She is survived by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Stephen Valley of Jay, son James Valley and wife Joleen, and granddaughter Emma Grace of Richmond. Her siblings, James Chipello (Kim), Jackie Bedell (Jim), Rosa Demers, and Paul Chipello, as well as several cousins, nephews, and nieces. A celebration of life will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-12 p.m., prior to the service at Finley Funeral Home.
