Frederick W. Grover

OTISFIELD – Frederick W. Grover, 80, of Otisfield, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022 with Jeff and Kim by his side. Fred was born in Oxford to Simon and Bessie Grove on Dec. 22, 1941.

He attended Oxford schools and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Fred worked at Robinson Manufacturing, Homegas and Lewiston bottle gas. Fred served as Oxford Fire Chief and Oxford Police for many years. Fred was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, trapping and beekeeping. Fred lived in New Port Richie, FL during the winters.

Fred is survived by his children. Kimberly Grover Harris and husband Jeff of Norway, Mike Hurst and partner Bonnie of South Paris, Jeff Hurst and wife Cara of Georgia, Hope Perkins of Tennessee; grandchildren Kassandra Harris, Zachary Harris, Derek Hurst, Crystal Hurst, Kristina Albright, Samantha Palmer, Ashley Perkins, Amber Mcfarland, Ben Perkins, Kevin Perkins; and great-grandchildren Kinsley McAllister, Miles Palmer of Australia, Tyson and Tucker Albright of Georgia, Charlotte Palmer, Sydney and Halle Hurst of Bangor.

Abandoned and betrayed by sister Shirley Bean and husband Norm.

Predeceased by Simon and Bessie Grover, Robert Grover, Joseph Grover, Joanne Pulkinen and great-grandson Wayland Harris.
