We would like to show our support for a local resident running for Sheriff. Justin Brown is a 22-year veteran with the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office. Justin earned the rank of Corporal in 2006 and Lieutenant in 2016. He has specialized training in crash reconstruction as well as FBI LEEDA leadership.
Justin currently spends most of his workday handling sexual assault cases, as well as tending to his many administrative duties. According to those who work with him, Justin is a hard-working, loyal member of the sheriff’s office. We find his willingness to attend so many local events to meet and listen to the concerns of the local communities is admirable.
We hope others will join us by voting for Justin Brown for Oxford County Sheriff this November 8.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
