Paris Public Library, 37 Market Square in South Paris, is conducting a hat and mitten drive for Christmas for Kids.

The talents, time, and generosity of those who have helped in the past have kept children’s heads and hands warm during Maine’s cold winters, according to a news release from Billie Damon, staff member.

The library seeks handmade contributions from those who knit or crochet. The library also will purchase items.

A collection box for contributions will be available beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the library.

Those in need of yarn are encouraged to ask a librarian.

For more information, call the library at 207-743-6994.
