NEW GLOUCESTER — Three students were taken to a hospital after an Auburn school bus and a vehicle collided Tuesday morning.

The crash happened about 8:15 a.m. near Lewiston and Gloucester Hill roads.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle operated by the Morrison Center, which provides services to children with developmental disabilities, was turning onto Lewiston Road when it hit the school bus.

A student and a 77-year-old driver were in the school bus, and there were four juvenile students, a staff member and a 25-year-old driver inside the Morrison Center vehicle.

Three students were taken to Maine Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

No other injuries were reported.
