Rose Lincoln

BETHEL — The Bethel Citizen is thrilled to welcome Rose Lincoln as its staff writer. Readers may recognize Lincoln’s name as she has been freelancing for the paper for the past few months until she was able to come aboard full time.

Lincoln and her husband, Michael, and three children have been part time residents in Bethel for 30 years. “We’ve always told our kids that someday we’re not going back to Boston. I’m happy that day is finally here,” says Lincoln.

“As are we,” adds Managing Editor A.M. Sheehan. The past year has been a frustrating time for both our readers and us but we are indebted to readers for their patience and look forward to sharing Rose’s stories and photos in the months to come.

Lincoln has most recently worked as a staff photographer and writer at Harvard University and freelance photographer at the Boston Globe. She started her career as a photographer for a chain of weekly newspapers on the South Shore of Massachusetts. She next worked for several years at The Patriot Ledger, a mid-sized daily in Quincy, MA. She has won several national and regional awards for her photography

After freelancing for the Citizen all summer, she is eager to get started as a staffer. Please write to her with your news: rlincoln@bethelcitizen.com
