George C. Stevens

AUBURN – George C. Stevens, also known as “George the Plumber”, passed away on Oct. 18, 2022, at the age of 89, at Bolster Residential in Auburn where he had been a resident for three years.

Born March 28, 1933, son of Florence and Roy Stevens. He married Joyce Matthews and had three sons, David, Danny and Michael.

George proudly served in both the Marines 1951-1957 and the Air Force 1957-1960. George was (like the entire Stevens family) kind, hard working, and always willing to lend a hand. He was the last of the Stevens family.

He was predeceased by his son, Daniel; siblings Calvert, Roy, Eugene, Bradford; sisters Elizabeth Sylvester, Catherine Stevens Rosemarie Coffin, Ada Jordan, Elinor Russell.

There will be a private family celebration of life.
