Michelle Rose Fergola
MEXICO – Michelle Rose Fergola, 59, of Mexico, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 31, 1963 in Rumford, the daughter of Robert and Rose (Doucette) Gardner. She was a graduate of Mexico High School, class of 1981.
Michelle married Robert F. Fergola Oct. 13, 1984. She worked at RSU 10 as a school nutritionist for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, four-wheeling, spending time brook fishing at the Tucker camp in Stratton, spending time at the Gormley camp at Nickerson Lake, and spending time with her family. She was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed spending time with her sister and friends at Foxwoods and Oxford Casino.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert F. Fergola; two sons, Zachary R. Fergola and wife Lydia and Travis D. Fergola and wife Jill; four grandchildren, Reed, Bode, Ryan and Max; a sister, Cynthia Bernard and husband Larry, five brothers, Robert Gardner and wife Mary, Arthur Gardner and wife Cheryl, Roger Gardner and wife Pam, Mike Gardner, and Mark Gardner and wife Janet; a brother-in-law Tim Gormley; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Georgie Gormley; and a granddaughter, Sydney.
A special thank you from the family to Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice for the care given to Michelle and the family.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at the Thibault Remembrance Center, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the St. Athanasius and St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford.
