Lorraine H. (Thompson) Kennagh
SOUTH PARIS – Lorraine H. (Thompson) Kennagh, 76, passed away on Nov. 3, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with her loving family by her side.
Lorraine was born on Jan. 27, 1946, in Norway, a daughter of Lloyd Thompson and Annie Whitman. Lorraine graduated from Paris High School. She worked many years at Paris Manufacturing and went on to retire from the MSAD17 School District after 29 years as an Administrative Assistant.
Lorraine married Richard Kennagh on Aug. 1, 1964, recently celebrating 58 years of marriage. The couple had one daughter together, Debora Kennagh.
Lorraine was best known for baking cakes for all the office birthdays, her amazing homemade cheesecake that everyone would fight over, and creating hand sewn quilts for the annual Custodians Auction. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her loving parents, Lloyd and Annie (Whitman) Thompson, and her sisters Marie Strout and Beverly Bailey. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Kennagh, daughter Debora Kennagh, granddaughter Jessica Kennagh and great-grandson August Correia.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, from 1-3 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home located at 45 Main Street, South Paris, Maine. To make an online condolence, please visit http://www.chandlerfunerals.com
