LOCKE’S MILLS — Veterans Day Ceremonies at American Legion Jackson-Silver Post 68, 595 Gore Road, Locke’s Mills, will be held on Friday, November 11. Doors will open at 09:30 hours.
Commander Harry G. Orcutt will conduct the opening:
• Post 68 Commemorative Program starts at 1030 hrs. Posting the Colors in place
• National Anthem by Mahoosuc Community Band
• Pledge of allegiance
• Opening prayer by Post Chaplain
• Commander Harry G. Orcutt welcoming remarks and Veterans Day Address
• Bell ringing at 1100 hrs.
• Presentation of Post 68 Certificates of Appreciation, Meritorious Service, or Participation
• Post 68 Color Guard: Firing Squad Rifle Salute
• Taps performed in dueling sequence
• Special Music Selected by Mahoosuc Community Band
• Commander’s Closing remarks
• Singing “God Bless America”
• Closing Prayer
