AUBURN — Wyatt Hathaway scored a game-high 33 points as Central Maine Community College survived with an 89-85 victory over New Hampshire Technical Institute in Yankee Small College Conference men’s basketball action Thursday night at Dave Gonyea Court.

Hathaway, a Leavitt grad, was 6 for 10 shooting from behind the 3-point line. Michael Connolly scored 14 points and pulled down 18 rebounds, and Jeremiah Simeon notched a double-double off the bench, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, including two off free throws in the final minute to help seal the victory. Lewiston grad Malik Foster scored four points off the bench.

The game was close throughout, with the Mustangs (8-1, 3-0 YSCC) leading 38-36 at halftime.

The Lynx (1-3, 1-2) were led by Sean Riley, with 19 points. Anthony Gauthier (16 points), Andrew Fagans (13 off the bench) and Joseph Canty (11) also finished in double-figures.
