Chester S. Bucknam
HAVERHILL, Mass. – Chester S. Bucknam, 85, of Bradford, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, at High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill.
He was born in Buckfield, Maine, June 19, 1937, son of the late Chester and Mabel (Hogdon) Bucknam.
He was educated in Maine and attended Edward Little High School in Lewiston. He went on to work as a Retail Manager for various companies, most recently Auto Zone, as well as Woolworth, Haverhill. He served in the National Guard for nine years.
Chester enjoyed spending his time traveling in his motor home and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife Andrea “Ann” J. (Roy) Bucknam of Haverhill; his children, Dean Bucknam of Fremont, N.H., Maureen Francis of Kingston, N.H., and Kristen Bucknam of Kingston, N.H. He is also survived by his stepchildren Kathleen and her husband Dr. William Maher of Newton, Mass., Kelly and her husband Kurt Prohl of Houston, Texas, Kristie and her husband Ian Wood of Kernerville, N.C., and Korie and her husband Eric Carlson of New London, Mo. He was a grandfather to 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford. His funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
