DEAR SUN SPOTS: The person looking for a place for Thanksgiving dinner (Nov. 21 Sun Spots) might want to make reservations at Lotus Restaurant on Center Street in Auburn. If they don’t want to do a buffet, Denny’s in Auburn always has a Thanksgiving meal for about a week and you can have it any time of day. We even go there every year about 9 a.m. and have a Thanksgiving meal for breakfast! — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Thank you so much for helping with this question. Lotus at 279 Center St. is indeed serving a buffet that includes turkey and the fixings. You can reach them at 241-0870.

Denny’s at 211 Court St. is serving turkey dinner Wednesday through Friday this week. Call 782-8338 for information. Thanksgiving dinner for breakfast sounds great! Is there pie involved? I sure hope so!

Another reader let me know that Marco’s Ristorante Italiano at 12 Mollison Way in Lewiston is open on Thanksgiving. To make a reservation call 783-0336.

A reader named Sandy notified me that LaFleur’s Restaurant at 224 Main St. in Jay is open on Thanksgiving Day. For reservations call 897-2117.

Thank you to everyone who helped me out. I’m sure our reader, Alice, will appreciate it, too!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Where is Dustin Bonk of Channel 8 news? Where is Mike Slifer of Channel 6 news? How does Cindy Williams love her retirement? We miss her. She was awesome on the Channel 6 news. — Alice, Bowdoin

ANSWER: We do get attached to our favorite meteorologists and newscasters, don’t we?

According to Dustin’s page on LinkedIn, he joined OceanView, a retirement community in Falmouth, about six months ago as its marketing and advertising coordinator. He seems to really be enjoying it.

Mike Slifer returned home to Connecticut to join WFSB-TV’s weather reporting team in September.

And our dear Cindy Williams is having a blast these days, according to her Facebook page. Fundraising, modeling, voice-over, working as a broker with Keller Williams Realty, and vacationing with husband, Lee Nelson, are all part of Cindy’s life now. We all knew she was a go-getter!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: What happened to Jenn Long, the anchor on Channel 13 news? — Arthur, Mexico

ANSWER: After being with WGME for over nine years, Jenn made the decision to spend more time with her family. You can’t blame her as she was expecting baby number 2 at the time of her departure. She’s still in Maine.
