AFCI
Maybe … maybe not? A local citizen had an appointment for cataract surgery and couldn’t drive himself to Norway. He didn’t call AFCI’s N2N program because he didn’t realize drivers could wait for a 3-hour appointment before driving him home. Don’t be afraid to call for a ride! Our capacity is always dependent on available drivers who can accommodate the rider’s request. Perhaps on a specific day we can’t serve your need, but there’s a good chance we can figure something out to help you.

Rosabelle Tifft is one of our frequent riders (not the one mentioned above). She says: “One of my favorite drivers was the late Phil Sheridan, who took us to Mass on Saturday evenings during the dark winter months, often remaining in back of the church to be readily available for us when Mass ended. He became a good friend who was caring and helpful, with a keen sense of humor, and we so enjoyed our rides with him.”

Our availability is really on a case-by-case basis, so don’t be afraid to call 824-4444; someone will get back to you soon after you leave your message.

Tuesday, November 29 and every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of March: Walk the Gym and Tai Chi in the Gould Academy Field House (note: NOT the Bingham Gym, as in the past). Walk the Gym, 1-2, does not need registration; just show up. Tai Chi, 2-3, requires registration, as class size is limited (to register: Karen Reilly, reillyss@gmail.com or 617-549-1890).
