Beatrice “Bea” Loux

POLAND – Beatrice “Bea” Loux, 85, died on Nov. 19, 2022, after a short illness. She was born on July 9, 1937, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, to George and Esther Boyd.

Bea attended Millersville State Teachers College, and married her college sweetheart, Roy Loux, before graduation. She was the owner and head teacher of Busy Bee Nursery in Auburn, a foster parent, a hospice volunteer, and was a long-term member of the Auburn Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter, sewer, and reader. Bea spent summers at Thompson Lake her whole life, and the family camp there had a special place in her heart. Bea’s main joy in life was spending time at the lake with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Bea was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband, Roy Loux. She is survived by a large and loving family, including her brother, George Boyd and wife Dale; and her three daughters and their families, Debbie and Steve Fuller, Barbara Loux and William Heywood, and Cindy and Theron Kropp. Bea is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and their families, Kayla, Dylan, Audrey and Ellie Vatsinaris, Megan, Mark and Tucker Dvilinsky, Suzanne, Kevin, Amelia, and Zoey Wight, Nate, Ariel and Oliver Fuller, Andrew, Sarah and Addie Heywood, Abby Fuller and Colm MacCárthaigh, Eli Kropp, Bekah Kropp, Lizzie Kropp, Kurt Heywood, and Chris Heywood.

The family thanks Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the loving care that Bea received during her stay. Bea loved reading, and was a lifetime supporter of the public library system.
