Gladys St.Cyr

RUMFORD – Gladys St.Cyr, 69, a lifelong resident of Rumford, passed away on Tuesday Nov. 15, 2022 at Russell Park following a short illness. Gladys was born on August 30, 1953 in Rumford to Francis and Adeline (Collins) St.Cyr.

After graduating from Rumford High School in 1971, she married her high school sweetheart Gary Gallant in October 1973. They went on to have four children.

Gladys held many different roles within Community Concepts and Head Start. When our local Community Concepts closed its doors, Gladys brought her beautiful smile to the Rumford Hospital housekeeping department where she continued to be a source of light and joy to everyone around her.

Gladys enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, spoiling her cat, Nelly, and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.

Gladys was predeceased by a sister, Linda Rockwood, her husband, Gary; a daughter, Alethea Gallant, and a son, Jeremy Gallant. She is survived by a son, Jacob Gallant and wife Donna of Ohio, a daughter Stormie Landry and husband Joel of Rumford; and many grandchildren.
