A leak in a water main has forced the Lewiston Public Works Department to shut off water service Sunday afternoon along Lisbon Street, from Androscoggin Avenue to South Avenue.
Water service in the area was turned off beginning at about 1:45 p.m. Sunday due to a leak found at East Avenue, according to officials.

Officials said some side streets in the area are also affected by the the repair work.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid traffic delays.
