Richard Edwin Norris

AUGUSTA – Richard Edwin Norris, born Oct. 6, 1964, died unexpectedly in his home, on Nov. 18, 2022 in Augusta. He always lived life to the beat of his own drum.

He enjoyed fixing and tinkering on things, spending time in the garage or being outside. He loved snowmobiling, playing solitaire, coffee and music, especially making new words for songs. Despite his disability, he did what he wanted and what he loved. He was stubborn until the end and let his opinion be known. May he rest and breath easy hugging the one’s we’ve lost.

He was predeceased by his father Luther Norris Sr., his mother Helmi (Virginia) Norris; and his sister Marjorie Norris. He is survived by his children, Justin Cote, 38, from Lewiston, Grace Smith, 36, from Monmouth, Chuck Norris, 34, from Winthrop, Tommy Norris, 28, and Cheyanna Norris, 20, from Augusta; his granddaughter Samantha Norris; his brothers, Luther Norris Jr and David Norris, his sisters, Mary Spivey, Harreit Wincapaw, Linda Corbin and Sharlene Norris; as well as his ex-wife Violet Norris, who took care of him until the end.
