Grace Ellen (Diamond) Jacques

FARMINGTON – Grace Ellen (Diamond) Jacques, 93, a resident of Round Pond Road in Livermore passed away Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Sandy River Nursing Home where she has been for the last seven years.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1929, in Livermore Falls where she was raised, the daughter of Lena May Young Diamond and George Diamond. She attended schools in Livermore Falls and graduated from Livermore Falls High School, Class of 1948 as Valedictorian and attended Business College for two years at the Maine School of Commerce in Auburn.

She was employed after college at Livermore Falls Trust Co., where she remained for 60 years and retired when she was 80 years old. She belonged to many organizations including B.P.W., The Red Hat Society and served as Chairman of the Selectboard in Livermore for many years.

She loved her family and will be remembered for her generosity, love and strong will. She was a great presence in her family’s lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristal A. Flagg and husband Russell of Livermore Falls; three grandsons, Lukeus Flagg and his partner Erica of Turner, Lance Flagg and his partner Erin of Livermore Falls, Lyle Flagg and wife Hillary of Airforce Base Dover, Del.; and eight great grandchildren, Liam and Lyric and step great grandchildren Nathan and Braydon of Turner, James, Porter and Willow of Livermore Falls and Stella Flagg of Dover, Del. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurent R. Jacques in 2005;, her parents; a brother George Diamond, and two sisters, Ruth Black and Lena Sayers.

No formal funeral services will be held. There will be a private ceremony at the camp in summer of 2023. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
