Maxine P. Gray

AUBURN – Maxine P. Gray, 81, died on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice House, in Auburn. Maxine was born in Marlborough, Mass., the daughter of Bernice Larrabee.

She attended Edward Little High School graduating with the class of 1960. Maxine worked as a CAN, at Victorian Villa in Canton, and was a member of the Canton Rescue.

Maxine enjoyed yard sales, square dancing, and cooking. She loved the time she spent with family.

Maxine is survived by her children, Richard Leighton Jr. and his wife Sandra, Marvin Leighton, Peter Gray and his wife Sharon, Tim Gray and his wife Mary, and Brenda Gray and her husband Ryan; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Earl Gray; her mother Bernice; a daughter Rebecca; and one grandchild.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
