Andrew Stetson Harden Jr.

TURNER – Andrew Stetson Harden, Jr., known to most as “Andy”, passed away at his home surrounded by family in Turner, on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.

Although he lived in Turner for the last three years of his life and Clearwater, Fla. for the three previous years, Andy was a Goffstownian through and through. Born on Oct. 25, 1943, he lived in Goffstown, N.H. until 2016. He met his first wife, Donna Lowe, in school in Goffstown, and together, they had a daughter and son. After that marriage ended, he married Sherri Woodbury, whom he had also gone to high school with, and they had a daughter.

Andy was the quintessential “cool guy” in high school, which then translated into “well respected boss man” in his 50-year career in electrical distribution for the same company with multiple name changes- originally Seaman’s Electrical Supply, then Capital Light and Supply, then Rexel/CLS.

When he wasn’t working his day job, he was working races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. He could be found there donning the maroon Victory Lane Committee sport coat and zipping around in the golf cart that he had removed the governor from.

In his spare time, he built the super-modified race cars that he and a friend raced all over New Hampshire, but his favorite hobby was fine-tuning his beloved and famous Volkswagen.

He was predeceased by his son, Mike Harden; but leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Sherri; two daughters, Kim Bochtler and Lindsay Harden; sister, Pam Thorp; two nephews; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Andy was a thousand different things to a thousand different people, but everyone that knew him had the privilege of a uniquely Andy experience.
