Lita E. Glazier

LISBON – Lita E. Glazier, 96, of Lisbon, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the St. Mary’s D’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston.

She was born November 15, 1926 in Rumford, the daughter of Charles and Edith (Legère) Richard.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda & husband William Ryan and Sharon & husband David McCrater; a brother Joseph Allen Richard; grandchildren Melanie Ryan, Carlene Riling, and Haley McCrater Anderson; great-grandchildren Eliza, Julian, Alfred, Sybil, and future great-granddaughter Anderson; favorite niece Diane Luszey, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Lita was predeceased by five siblings: Leonard “Mike” Richard, Yvonne Deraspe, Dorilla Richard, Viola Chiasson, and Charles “Rene” Richard.

Lita loved the ocean and visited Old Orchard Beach with her sisters every summer. She also loved ice cream and when asked if she wanted some she would reply, “Well I could force myself” with a chuckle. She adored animals and pet sitting for friends and family. She was an avid newspaper reader and loved sports. She always cheered for her favorites, the Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots.

Lita believed and demonstrated that life was about family and helping each other.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, December 19 at the Holy Trinity Church, 67 Frost Avenue, Lisbon Falls.
