To the Editor:
There will be another opportunity for members of the community to sing on Christmas Eve. Three rehearsals are scheduled, and singers are welcome to attend any or all of them. The choir will sing at the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve service at the West Parish Congregational Church on Church Street in Bethel.
Rehearsals will on Thursdays, December 15 and 22 at 6:30, and on Christmas Eve itself at 4 p.m., all at the church. The choir, directed by Jonathan Smith, is open to anyone who loves to sing, and will include those coming home for the holidays. We hope you’ll join us! Questions? We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
