“Creating Solutions: Conflict Management for Parents,” will be the topic of a six-week course offered by the YWCA of Lewiston-Auburn from 7 to 8 pm starting Jan. 6. The course will give parents an opportunity to learn communication skills and problem-solving techniques, to understand familial conflict styles and to practice effective strategies for setting limits and expressing anger. June Zellers, the YWCA’s family media and course instructor said, “We have found this format, one-hour segments during swim meet times, gives busy parents an opportunity to learn some new skills and meet other parents struggling with the same issues.”

The material used in Looking Back is produced exactly as it originally appeared although misspellings and errors may be corrected.
