Patrick Abysius Lundy

WELD – Patrick Abysius Lundy, 95, died Thursday December 15, 2022 at the Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Yarmouth. He was a resident of Weld.

He was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Nov, 16, 1927, the son of Francis and Brigid (Fox) Lundy, and had served with the Royal Air Force.

Patrick received his master’s in French literature at Rutgers University in New Jersey and had taught French in England, Canada and the United States.

He was married in Montclair, N.J., on Aug. 3, 1958, to the former Elizabeth Conover who survives of Weld. Other survivors include a daughter Ruth Lundy of Tempe, Ariz.; a son James P. Lundy of Weld, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Thursday Jan. 5, 2023 at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church 126 Maine Ave in Rumford. Interment in the spring will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Weld. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral home 3 Franklin St Rumford, Maine.
