GREENWOOD — Rescue crews from several agencies responded early Thursday night after a car rolled over onto its roof and into a ditch on Main Street.

It was not immediately clear how many people were in the car or if there were injuries sustained in the wreck, which was reported at 5:30 p.m. in the area of 286 Main St. One witness said it appeared that the car had been driven by a man who was taken away on a stretcher. She did not believe there were other occupants in the vehicle.

The crash occurred near the intersection of East Bethel Road and Main Street, which is also state Route 26.

Crews from Greenwood, Woodstock and Bethel responded, as well as Pace Ambulance.
