NORWAY — On December 15, The Friends of Norway Memorial Library hosted a performance of “Christmas Snow” by Donald Hall for an audience of 85. The storytellers are Marguerite Mathews and Greg Gathers, Artistic Co-Directors of Pontine Theatre of Portsmouth, NH. The oversize book with block print illustrations was made by Gathers. Christmas Snow was published in The New Yorker in December 1964. It is a memory story of Donald Hall visiting his grandparent’s farm at Eagle Pond for Christmas in 1938 when he was 10 years old. This performance was part of the Friends of Norway Memorial Library’s holiday party and a gift to the community. Submitted
