PARIS — The Mad Science Holiday Spectacular program, sponsored by the public libraries of the Oxford Hills, was postponed to Saturday, Dec. 31 at 11 p.m., due to the weather and a power outage, on the original date. The program is being held at the Deering Memorial Community Center, located at 39 Main Street in South Paris.
Mad Science of Maine offers fun programs for kids which introduce fundamental science concepts. In the Holiday Spectacular, participants will enjoy a festival of lights created by indoor fireworks, learn about “special ice” shipped directly from the North Pole, and discover “magical” no-melt snow. The event, which is free and open to all, will last approximately an hour.
The Oxford Hills public libraries include the Hamlin Memorial Library, Harrison Village Library, Freeland Holmes Library of Oxford, Norway Memorial Library, Paris Public Library, Waterford Library, and the West Paris Public Library.
