SOUTH PARIS – Joan S. (Haskell) Lord, 82, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at the Market Square Healthcare Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Brockton, Mass., a daughter of the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Swallow) Haskell.

She attended and graduated from Brockton high school in 1958, she worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard until 1973, when she moved to Maine and started working for Goodwin Insurance retiring in 2010.

She was an avid gardener, shopping for crafts, and loved wild animals, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family.

She was predeceased by her loving parents, Lawrence and Eleanor Haskell.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Heather Rzyski and her husband Dale.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 4-6 p.m., with prayers at 5:30 p.m., at the Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris. Following Joan’s wishes burial will be at the convenience of the family, for those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed on Joan’s obituary page.
