Donna Stowe

AUBURN – On Sunday Jan. 1, 2023, Donna L. Stowe passed away at the age of 66 while at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn from complications of M.S.

Donna was born on May 6, 1956, in Lewiston, the daughter of Donald and Alice Gunn. She attended and graduated from Lewiston High School in the class of 1974. Donna married Thomas Stowe on May 9, 1987 and together they raised two children, their daughter Courtney and son Justin.

After high school, she worked in childcare, waitressing, and in retail stores. The most important job she loved was being a stay at home mother and a homemaker for her children and husband.

Donna loved the simple things in life, crafting, tending house plants, watching the birds and TV shows, “The Waltons” and “Little House on the Prairie” were a couple of her favorites.

Donna and her mother were avid Red Sox fans. They would end their phone conversations by saying, “See you at the game.”

Donna was predeceased by her parents Donald and Alice Gunn; grandparents Flora and Antonio Caron, Etta and Raymond Gunn.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Courtney Barnaby (Sean), son, Justin (Elaine); grandchildren Jane and Eric Stowe; sister Debra, brother Dennis (Debbie); as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
