Jean L. Pulsifer

TURNER – Jean L. Pulsifer, 91, a resident of Turner passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at her home surrounded by family.

She was a New Year’s Baby, born Jan. 1, 1932, in Lewiston, the daughter of Henry and Kathleen (Drake) Garns. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School.

On Oct. 17, 1953, in Greene, she married Gerald R. Pulsifer of Turner, they were married for 58 years before his passing in 2012. Jerry and Jean owned J&J in Turner, a novelty shop that sold beautiful wood novelty items.

Jean enjoyed crafting, snowmobiling, spending time on Pleasant Pond, gardening, and quilting. She made beautiful quilts. She was a 4H Leader for many years.

She is survived by her daughters Debra Oliver of Durham and Brenda Pulsifer of Turner, son, Brian Pulsifer of Turner; granddaughter, Ellie Bragg of Wichita, Kan.; sisters Joan Ingerson and husband Dean of Lisbon Falls and Janice Bickford of Florida, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Jerry; and grandson, Matt Bragg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 16, at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, 707 Main St., Monmouth. Visitation from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 15, at Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home. Interment in the spring at River Grove Cemetery, River Road, Leeds.
