Joan Patricia Wade

NORWAY – Joan “Pat” Patricia Wade of South Paris passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 at Stephens Memorial Hospital. She was born in Norway on April 5, 1936 the daughter of Garfield Judkins and Merlene Thompson Titcomb.

She was a graduate of Norway High School and married Richard Wade in 1953.

Pat had been employed at South Paris Savings Bank before working at Oxford Hills High School from 1976 to 1996 as the attendance secretary. She enjoyed knitting and camping. She and her husband were members of NAFCA (North American Family Camping Association). They enjoyed working at Fryeburg Fair campground.

She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Whittemore and husband Duffy of South Paris and Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Joy Doughty and husband Herm of West Paris; granddaughters Erin Graham and husband Eric, Libby Eldred and husband Jon, Hannah O’Brion and husband Mickey and Maggie Mae Whittemore and companion Ronan; great-grandchildren Jada, Julia and Lydia Graham, Sydney and Ian Eldred and Stetson O’Brion; and two brothers, Garfield Judkins, Jr. and Peter Wade and wife Marie.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2017.
