LEWISTON — City officials announced Wednesday that a winter parking ban will be in effect from 8 p.m. Thursday through 5 p.m. Friday.
The National Weather Service estimates 3 to 5 inches of snow Thursday evening and 1 to 3 inches Friday morning.
All vehicles must be off the streets so public works can respond to the impending storm.
Free parking will be available at the city garages at 62 Canal St., 29 Chestnut St., 16 Lincoln St., 1 Oak St. and Southern Gateway at 425 Lisbon St.
The Lewiston Solid Waste Facility will be closed Friday, though waste collection will continue, officials said.
