FARMINGTON — A broken sprinkler in the attic at Woodlands Memory Care Center on Knowlton Corner Road soak the floor in one wing Wednesday.
About 15 firefighters from Farmington and Wilton were called for an alarm about 1:20 a.m. They found water coming from the ceiling in one wing and found a broken sprinkler in the attic, Farmington Fire Rescue Chief Tim “TD” Hardy said Wednesday. Water had soaked the floor.
Staff moved residents to another wing.
Once the water was shut off, firefighters helped mop up and the center’s maintenance crew finished the cleanup. Firefighters were there about 90 minutes, Hardy said.
