Yvette Capponi

FARMINGTON – Yvette Capponi, 91, passed away Jan. 17, 2023, at the Woodlands Senior Living Center in Farmington. She was a long-time resident of Rumford for many years.

Yvette was born in Rumford, Maine on Dec. 29, 1931, she was the youngest daughter of Napoleon and Jeannette (St. Cyr) Belanger. She graduated from Stephens High School class of 1949 and worked for Puiia Hardware Company for many years.

Yvette was a member of the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius St. John Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing jigsaw puzzles and baking for the holidays.

Survivors include her children Antonio, Jr and wife Darlene of Steep Falls, Andrew and companion Pam Kimball of Lewiston, Brenda Watson and husband Thomas of Washougal, Washington state and Jackie Pelletier of Peru, 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She was predeceased by a great grandson Nathan Capponi and sisters, Lorraine Gelensky, Maggie Gallant and Yvonne Couture.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday May 12, 2023 at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church 126 Maine Ave, Rumford. Interment will be in St John Cemetery, Rumford.
