0730hrs, Deputy Sholan received a complaint of a vehicle off the road on the Farmington Road in Strong. Rusty Tyler (41) of Farmington was driving a 1999 Dodge pickup when he ran off the road.

0905hrs, Deputy Morgan received a 911 call at the Saddleback Base Lodge in Sandy River Plt. This was an accidental dial by a patron there.

0957hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro received a 911 call at a residence on Quill Gordon Drive in Dallas Plt. This was an accidental dial.

1105hrs, Deputy Sholan responded to a residence on the Taylor Road in Industry regarding a mental health emergency. Family members transported the victim to Augusta.

1915hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident on the Salem Road in Salem Twp. Steven Viles (61) of Freeman Twp was plowing a driveway with a 2006 Ford truck facing Westbound and was partially in the road when it was struck head-on/sideswiped by a 2006 dodge Caravan being driven by Steven Walls (29) of Wilton. As a result, of the investigation Walls was summonsed for Operating with Suspended Registration.

01/08/2023 0019hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on the Carrabassett Road in Coplin Plt. Sherry Marcoux (51) of Yarmouth was driving a 2016 Honda northbound when she ran off the road to the right striking a utility pole breaking it. CMP was called to the scene to repair the pole; the driver was transported to FMH for evaluation.

0738hrs, Deputy Sholan received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle on South Strong Road in Strong. The vehicle was gone upon arrival.

1047hrs, Sgt. Close responded to a report of a suicidal person at a residence on Blanchard Ave. in Eustis. Crises workers assisted at the scene.

1138hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro received a 911 call at a residence on the Parlin Road in Phillips. This was an accidental dial.

1321hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro received a 911 call from the Saddleback Base Lodge in Sandy River Plt. This was a skier.

1330hrs, Deputy Sholan responded to a medical emergency at a residence on the Rangeley Road in Avon. He stood by with victim until Northstar’s arrival.

1507hrs, Deputy Gray conducted a VIN verification at a residence on the West Road in Chesterville.

1701hrs, Deputy Gray received a complaint of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Oquossoc Ave. In Rangeley.

2323hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro responded to a report of a car vs. deer accident on Mill Street in Weld. Robert Pingree (41) of Jay was driving a 2023 Ford F250 when the collision occurred.

01/09/2023 1139hrs, Deputy Sholan received a complaint from a residence on Main Street in Kingfield. The complainant calls frequently and suffers from dementia, no complaint.

1153hrs, Sgt. Richards received a harassment/trespassing complaint from a walk-in complainant who lived on Main Street in Kingfield. Complainant was being harassed at work.

1232hrs, Deputy Cusson received a landlord/tenant dispute at a residence on Pinkham Hill Road in Phillips.

1430hrs, Chief Deputy Lowell responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on the Rumford Road in Letter E Twp. A 2011 Chevy Equinox registered to Joshua Melville (32) of Rangeley was located off the road with reportable damage. No driver was present at the scene, and no one had called it in so far. Koob’s removed the vehicle, case still under investigation.

1528hrs, Sgt. Close received a trespassing complaint at a residence on Lambert Hill Road in Strong. The complaint was unfounded.

1609hrs, Sgt. Bean responded to a medical emergency which was a reported drug overdose at a residence on Olde Parkway Road in Kingfield. Subject was taken to FMH by Norstar.

2014hrs, Sgt. Bean and Sgt. Close responded to a residence on Sawyer Street in Phillips where they arrested Stephen Haines (49) of Phillips on a Warrant. He was transported to jail without incident.

01/10/2023 0534hrs, Deputy Frost responded to a report of a car vs. deer accident on Main Street in Kingfield. Scott Belisle (51) of New Vineyard was driving a 2013 Chevy pickup southbound when the collision occurred.

0626hrs, Chief Lowell responded to a business alarm at Rangeley Family Medicine on Dallas Hill Road in Rangeley. This was a false alarm.

0823hrs, Sgt. Richards responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on the Rangeley Road in Coplin Plt. David Moors (37) of Stratton was driving a 2015 Toyota Tundra west bound when

he fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the road into the trees. Mountain Side Garage removed the vehicle.

0841hrs, Deputy Sholan received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle at the head of Webb Lake in Weld. The vehicle was not abandoned, it belonged to an ice fisherman.

1030hrs, Deputy Sholan received a 911 call at a residence on Staples Pond Road in Temple. This was an accidental dial.

1311hrs, Deputy Sholan conducted a traffic stop on the Farmington Falls Road in New Sharon. As a result of the stop Jennie Worster (50) of Winterport was charged with Operating with a Suspended License.

1501hrs, Sgt. Richards received a 911 call at Saddleback Base Lodge in Sandy River Plt. This was an accidental dial by a skier.

1520hrs, Deputy Frost arrested Richard Pelletier (56) of Phillips on a warrant when he was located on Main Street in Rangeley. He was transported to jail without incident.

1755hrs, Sgt. Close arrested Samantha Atwood (31) of Strong on a warrant while she was at a residence on Lambert Hill Road in Strong. She was transported to jail without incident.

1908hrs, Sgt. Close investigated a disturbance call involving a juvenile at a residence on West Side Road in Carthage.

1105hrs, Sgt. Richards investigated a child custody issue at Cape Cod Hill School in New Sharon.

1348hrs, Deputy Frost conducted traffic control for an oversized truck on Norton Hill Road in Strong.

1350hrs, Deputy Davol responded to a two-car accident at the intersection of Mile Hill Road and the Mercer Road in New Sharon. Jan Semba (63) of Dallas Plt. was stopped in a 2007 Saab on Mile Hill Road at the intersection of the Mercer Road in New Sharon when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2022 Ford Bronco being driven by Kristen Krzysztofiak (45) of Farmington. New Sharon and Chesterville Fire and Rescue responded to the scene as well as NorthStar Ambulance.

1552hrs, Deputy Frost responded to a report of a car vs. deer accident on the Phillips Road in Weld. Dakota Cyr (18) of Canton was driving a 2004 Ford F-150 when the collision occurred.

1642hrs, Deputy Frost received a complaint of loose dogs on West Freeman Road in Freeman Twp. The dog’s owner was located and rounded them up.

1724hrs, Deputy Frost investigated a complaint of suspicious juveniles near the White Elephant in Strong. The juveniles were gone upon arrival.

1645hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro received a complaint of a a parking lot accident at Saddleback Base Lodge in Sandy River Plt. The accident was non reportable.

1715hrs, Deputy Morgan responded to a car vs. deer accident on Mile Square Road in Phillips. Robert Thorndike (36) of Avon was driving a 2022 Ford F-250 when the collision occurred. The deer struck the plow, no damage to the vehicle.

2306hrs, Deputy DiSilvestro investigated a report of a single vehicle rollover accident on the Salem Road in Freeman Twp. Sydney Sillanpaa (16) of Freeman Twp was driving a 2008 Mazda westbound when she lost control on icy road conditions, crossed the center line running off the road rolling over.

Deputies also conducted 7 elder checks, 17 building checks and responded to 8 false 911 calls.
