Michelle C. Roy

ARIZONA CITY, Ariz. – It is with deep sadness that the Roy family announces that on Dec. 1, 2022, Michelle C. Roy, 47, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Arizona City, Ariz.

Michelle was born on July 3, 1975 in Lewiston, Maine. She grew up in Poland, Maine and attended Poland Community School. She attended Edward Little High School, was elected class president and graduated in 1993. She went on to attend the University of New England in Saco, Maine in pre-med studies for a semester. She left college to begin a family with James Grover and raised three boys.

In her adult years Michelle earned her nursing degree and took great pleasure in caring for her patients while working in the intensive care unit at CMMC in Lewiston. She then worked in a doctor’s office at CMMC as a triage nurse. Michelle met Michael Veilleux of Auburn and her life was changed. She eventually moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. in 2019 with Michael and began working as a triage nurse for Solidarity Health Share, in Tempe, Ariz., a faith based medical health insurance company. Solidarity recognized Michelle’s potential and she advanced to managing the triage division. She constantly expressed her love of working for Solidarity Health Share due to their faith based culture they shared.

Michelle loved TJ her cat, meeting with friends, camping, sporting events, hiking, balloon launches, skydiving, the warmer arid climate of Arizona, but most of all Michelle was a caregiver, whether it was caring for children in the nursery, her patients in the hospital, or clients being covered by insurance.

Michelle was predeceased by her maternal mother Diane Flickner; her grandparents, Leo and Margaret Roy; her Memere Regina Lawler. She is survived by her three adult children, Joel and Shawn Grover of Lewiston, Kristian and his wife, Arayah Grover of Bowdoin; her brother Michael Roy and his fiancé April Potvin of Lewiston; her father and mother David and Evelyn Roy of Turner; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

A Celebration Of life and internment to be announced in the spring.
